National Occupational Standards (NOS)
Digital National Occupational Standards
Setting benchmarks for digital performance, competence, and skills across the UK.
About the Standards
National Occupational Standards (NOS) define the skills, knowledge, and behaviours people need to perform effectively at work. They are used in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales to shape vocational qualifications, apprenticeships, and workforce development programmes.
NOS documents provide a clear description of workplace competencies, serving as a benchmarking tool for employers, training providers, and individuals. Development is led by sector experts and supported through consultation with employers and stakeholders.
The full set of standards is freely available online at www.ukstandards.org.uk.
